A Wound in Memory
Gallusar looked westward and found empires of stone, feather, sun, jaguar, obsidian, mountain, river, and prophecy. He reached for their heroes and gods, believing distance would make their songs easier to tear apart. He was wrong. Dawnlands entered the Edge like sunrise over a world before conquest — temple steps wet with rain, jungle roots breaking through carved stone, and obsidian mirrors reflecting futures no mortal should see. Its gods do not speak in commandments, but in omens. To the Bard, Dawnlands whispers: the world does not begin where maps begin. It begins where memory refuses to be erased.
