World Structure
Heroes of the Dark Ages begins a wider mythology of stolen legends, fractured cultures, living memory, and unfinished endings. Gallusar stole the heroes. The Bards will decide what remains of them.
Every major system in HotDA serves this triangle. PvP matches are Gallusar’s repeated theater. Echoes are Enheduanna’s hidden refusals. Player agency is the Bard’s power to make the next repetition imperfect.
The Severance
A world split between Epic day, Tragic night, and the battlefields where stolen legends repeat.
Gallusar’s realm is the Severance: a broken pocket universe split between an Epic Hemisphere of perpetual day and a Tragic Hemisphere of unending night. Between them hangs the Edge, a belt of floating battlefields where stolen heroes are forced to fight, die, return, and repeat.
When Gallusar stole heroes from myth, history, faith, folklore, and fearful rumor, he dragged pieces of their cultures with them. Those fragments became the Legacy Shards: vast realms of architecture, ritual, language, custom, and memory inhabited by the Echo-Folk.

Glory, sanctification, beauty, heroic self-belief, and the radiant face of legend made geographical.
Consequence, grief, contradiction, fear, ruin, and the shadow cast by remembered greatness.
A writing engine at the heart of each side. It records death, restores heroes, and keeps the match inside Gallusar’s authored cycle.
Continent-sized fragments of stolen cultural memory where the Legacies survive in broken, living form.
The devourer of stories. He cannot truly create, so he steals living legends, edits away contradiction, and turns repetition into food.

Read ArchiveA prophecy of Gallusar’s end preserved in nine broken traditions. The final line is missing because it must be chosen, not discovered.
Read ArchiveEvery mode answers a different question about the same stolen world: what happens when heroes are forced to repeat glory and ruin, and what changes when the Bard remembers what Gallusar tried to erase?
