The Legacies
The Legacies are not nations, races, or simple cultural categories. They are living fragments of human memory — cultural wounds dragged into the Edge when Gallusar stole heroes from the songs, prayers, fears, and lands that shaped them.

Saga
Norse, Germanic, and northern saga memory: frost-bound oaths, dragon blood, shield walls, prophecy, heroic doom, and the long echo of the north.

Druid
Celtic old magic, sacred groves, fae bargains, hidden wisdom, green rebellion, ancient kings, and the spellcraft of the deep forest.

Romance
Western European chivalric and folk memory: knights, saints, rebels, courtly ideals, outlaw justice, martyrdom, banners, and impossible quests.

Dastan
Persian, Arab, Turkish, and Islamic tale-lines of scholarship, desert light, healing, astronomy, poetry, sacred knowledge, and heroic wisdom.

Jade
Chinese, Japanese, and East Asian martial-mystic fantasy: discipline, shadow, ritual, silk, steel, spirits, impossible precision, and inner mastery.

Savannah
African epic memory of griots, royal defiance, ancestral authority, sunlit earth, rhythm, queenship, resistance, and stories carried by voice.

Dawnlands
Mythic memory of the Americas: jaguar shadows, obsidian blades, first-sun cosmologies, sacred cycles, living temples, and blood-warm dawn.

Steppe
Hun, Mongol, and Turkic steppe memory: horse-lords, sky omens, conquest, vast horizons, iron discipline, raids, banners, and mounted empires.

Wyrd
Forbidden magic and dark wonder: witches, curses, haunted forests, blood bargains, cruel fairy tales, hidden names, and the fate-thread called Wyrd.
Identity, Not Power
When a Bard plays heroes from a Legacy, they recover Legacy Echoes — fragments of memory Gallusar could not swallow. These Echoes unlock titles, profile frames, banners, emotes, lore fragments, chroma tokens, recall effects, and Legacy challenges.
A master of Saga is not stronger than a master of Jade. Every Bard simply knows what stories they chose to carry.
