A Wound in Memory
When Gallusar took the shield-maidens, dragon-slayers, seers, wanderers, kings, and doomed children of the northern songs, he expected only warriors. He expected steel, fury, and glorious death. Instead, he awakened winter itself. Saga entered the Edge as frost-bitten cliffs, black pines, buried halls, and auroras where the dead still whisper. Its mountains remember every oath ever broken. Its rivers carry the names of those who died before their songs were finished. The heroes of Saga do not fight because victory will save them. They fight because fate is watching. To the Bard, Saga offers a brutal truth: a story does not need mercy to become immortal. It only needs to be sung until the end.
