A Wound in Memory
Not every tale enters the world wearing a crown. Some crawl from ovens. Some wait in mirrors. Some hide in forests. Some are written in blood, bargain, curse, hunger, prophecy, and forbidden names. When Gallusar stole the witches, warlocks, cursed queens, tricksters, doom-singers, and shadowed saints, he found something that frightened even him. Wyrd did not come as a homeland. It came as a threshold. It entered the Edge as black woods, crooked towers, dead moons, bone gates, drowned chapels, and houses that walk when no one watches. To master Wyrd is to hold the knife by the blade and still speak the spell.
